My last year in college, I worked at Farmer Jack. We made barbequed ribs, rotisserie chicken, and chicken wings to sale to customers in the deli department. We glazed the meat with a wonderful barbecue sauce called "Just Sweet Nuff" sauce. I used to buy the ribs and wingsfor family gatherings and it was always a hit.
I've lived outside of Detroit for 15 years but visited frequently (prepandemic). Recently, I visited the Kowalski website to place an order for kielbasa and stadium franks when I came across the barbeque sauces! I couldn't believe it, I was ecstatic! I had to order that too! I used the sauce on ribs, pork and beans and plane to make some breaded glazed wings this weekend.
My order arrived just in time for Labor Day. I split the order with my sister and friends who are also former native Detroiters.
