What is the difference between Smoked Sausage, Polish Kielbasa, Fresh Kielbasa & Holiday Kielbasa?
Smoked Sausage- This product is fully cooked hard wood smoked sausage. This product is fully cooked.
Polish Kielbasa- Hard wood smoked with black pepper & garlic. This product is fully cooked.
Fresh Kielbasa- Uncooked sausage with garlic, black pepper & marjoram. This product is not smoked and requires cooking
Holiday Kielbasa- Hard wood smoked with black pepper & garlic. This sausage features a coarser grind and is only available around the holidays.
What packaging materials do you use to ensure freshness while shipping?
At Kowalski, freshness is our number one concern. We use foam insulated boxes as the containers and freezer gel packs are used to keep the product cold.
Are Kowalski products frozen?
Our products are never frozen. They are processed, packaged daily then shipped in refrigerated trucks to our retail customers.
How quickly will my order be processed once I place it?
We process orders Monday- Friday and ship orders Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. If you place your order on a weekend, it will be processed the following Monday. See the Shipping link for more information.
Can I ship an order to an A.P.O address?
Sorry, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or A.P.O. and F.P.O. addresses.
How do I cook Kowalski Fresh Pierogis?
First you should put butter in the bottom of the pan on low heat to melt it. Once melted put the Pierogis in the pan on low heat. Cooking them on low for approximately 4 minutes per side. Never cook on high heat. Dudek frozen Pierogis can be cooked the same way once thawed.
